Indian Caterer offers the diversity of Indian cuisines. Indian cuisines can be divided into 4 noteworthy provincial styles namely:

A traditional Indian meal consists of 3 main parts:

  • Rice.
  • Flour.

Favorite Starters or finger food:

  • Idli – Fermented batter of ground rice and lentils, steamed in little circular moulds.
  • Jalebi – Deep fried coil-shaped battered wheat flour soaked in spicy sugar syrup.
  • Banana chips – Deep fried thin slices of banana.
  • Vada – Lentil or flour batter fried into a doughnut shape.
  • Samosas – Fried triangular snack made of a potato stuffing with onions and peas.

 

Main dishes:

  • Biryani – Marinated chicken or mutton with aromatic rice cooked with several spices.
  • Tandoori chicken – Yogurt and spices marinated chicken before roasted in clay oven.
  • Baingan bharta – Roasted eggplant mashed together with a variety of other vegetables and spices, served with flatbread.
  • Recheado masala fish – Fried Fish rubbed with spicy paste of chilies, tamarind, and garlic.
  • Butter chicken – Chicken marinated in cream and spices cooked in tandoor, served in a mild curry source.

 

Desserts:

  • Gulab jaamun – Dried milk made into small balls, slow cooked and boiled in a sugar syrup.
  • Gaajar halwa – Grated carrot cooked with milk, sugar, and dried fruits.
  • Kheer – Rice pudding.
  • Shrikhand – Yogurt-based sweet dessert garnished with ground nuts, cardamom, and saffron.
  • Chhena poda – Confectionery made with cottage cheese, flour, sugar syrup.
